CANOE EXPERIENCE SWEDEN

At Canoe Experience Sweden, our aim is to provide guests with the opportunity to enjoy travelling by canoe or kayak through this beautiful part of Värmland. Sometimes call “Sweden in miniature”, Värmland offers visits endless possibilities to enjoy a great experience in Sweden.

Based at our own campsite, Byns Camping, on the shore of Klarälven, in Ekshärad, we are very proud of the highly level of personal service we offer to our guests with our rental company, Klarälvdalen Kanot.
We provide the option of self-lead tours or for those wishing that little extra, a week’s tour with a highly qualified and experienced guide. We are delighted to help small to medium size groups plan and organise tours with us.

Our self-lead tours use Klarälven, Sweden’s classic river, Svartälven and Rottnan. All 3 rivers have their own special character.
We have canoes suitable for a solo paddlers right though to our Big Canadian, a great family canoe with up to 5 seats. We also hire expedition single seat kayaks.
Guests have the choice to hire canoe equipment or can opt to take our Premier package, which includes quality camping equipment.
For 2012, we are introducing the Klarälvdalen Grand Tour, a chance to paddle Klarälven from Sysslebäck right down to Karlstad. A journey of over 200 km.

For guided tours, our tour leader is Dave Latham. Dave has paddled in many parts of the world and is a British Canoe Union Level 5 Coach. Dave will be delighted to help guests gain the most from their canoe tour, both on the technical skills of paddling and on outdoor living.
